beGLOBAL 2015, Seoul

On May 14th and 15th, 2015, TriBeluga attended beGlobal as an official sponsor. beGlobal is the largest technology startup conference in Korea. To share its vision of bringing Korean technology startups into China, TriBeluga hosted a panel called “Understanding the China Market: The Most Complex Ecosystem in the World,” and organized a “Synergy Room” where startups shared ideas with and sought advice from TriBeluga’s China experts.

TriBeluga’s beGlobal panel included Shun Chang Shao, a dignitary from Zhongguancun (中關村), which is China’s largest science park (50 times the size of Yeouido) and often regarded as the “Chinese Silicon Valley.” Mr. Shao is the Director of Zhongguancun Development Group and the General Manager of Beijing Intellectual Property Administration Co., Ltd. Mr. Shao has more than 10 years of high-level experience in IT business development and IT financing. One of his significant achievements is the creation of the “Third Board Market,” a secondary market exchange offering alternative financing to private IT companies in China.

Mr. Shao’s participation in TriBeluga’s panel signified Zhongguancun’s strong support for TriBeluga’s vision. Yu Jun, the Chairman of Zhongguancun Development Group, made the keynote speech at TriBeluga’s inaugural technology conference in Beijing last December. Lili Luo, the President of TriBeluga, and Yanping Hu, the founder of DCCI (Data Center of China Internet), also participated in TriBeluga’s panel and shared valuable insights on China’s complex and unique technology business environment.
Startups attending beGlobal also had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the China market in TriBeluga’s “Synergy Room.” The “Synergy Room” hosted intimate, small group discussions between startup founders and TriBeluga’s advisors, focusing on topics such as Chinese business practices, intellectual property protection in China, and technology trends and insights from Silicon Valley.
